WOW. Not only does he meantion Labron on the "American Gangster" album, but bring him out on stage... nice maneuver, Jay. I think this (american gangster) is close as he'll come to "Reasonable Doubt" for those wish for it for so long. I see a person that I don't consider HIPHOP in the mix... won't comment too much on HIM though. Enh.
I don't really know if they'd exactly fit any of these categories, but Blue Scholars (albums Blue Scholars & Bayani) definetly seem like they would fit the Herfection mold. I was enough of a man fan that I was gonna go buy the album after I heard it in a friends car til I couldnt find it anywhere.
And Jay, I'm still listening to AG like its my first time. "Survive the droughts, I wish you well..."
Damn I wish DP 3 was longer!!!!!! And I agree with Arcieri Keness, I think A.G is closest thing heads will get for a Reasonable Doubt 2 as far as content. But I always think the debate lies in not what is his best album is (which is reasonable doubt), but what his second best album is. It think comes down to The Blueprint, The Black Album, and American Gangster.
Yeah I think my order of Jay's best albums is just like Old Soul's. I still blast Black Album on a dailyyyyyyyy. I love the old soul feeling as soon as December 4th comes on ahhhhhh. Jay will always have my heart. He always give me that old feel, he takes me back and I haven't even been there! Lol. He was the right candidate for American Gangster. Like who else could've done it? He's like the American Gangster of hip-hop to me. Love listening to his drug dealing stories, always draws me in, chuckle as if I was there when it actually happened.

"The old soul" has something going there. What is his 2nd best album? BA, Blueprint, or AG? That is a VERY HARD question!
