I was just discussing that matter with homeboy yesterday, and he asked me how I felt about Nas album being THAT...empty promotion or the typical Nas - philosoph. statement? I told him the same exact thing. It's both somewhere..It's good promotion, I love nas so I believe he's got his reasons to call it whatever, i'm sure there's a deeper expression and meaning to the title thus the controversial attention it is getting now , is unreasonable. For one, people will always fuss and fight about hip hop and its intentions. For two, Nas will always be in the public eye because he is a legend already now, for three...the word has its historical depth. In the end nobody can tell what the album is gonna be like, the title may stir curiosity..but the rest is up in God's hands..(and of course the record company's.LOL)

It's not gonna change the streets, nor do I believe Nas truly felt like one title would socialize a word within a community where it's used as an separating insult as much as it's used as a connective part in it.

Wait till the album drops, and judge then..I give him another thing though..he's causing as much attention as he did with Hip Hop is Dead.

This thing is with a title like this, I WANNA KNOW WHAT THE ALBUM SOUNDS LIKE!!!! How this album sounds like is either going to make or break the album. But I think based on the media attention, Nas is going to have a big first week. Because regardless if Nas is coming from a good or not, everyone wants to hear this album.

On a side note, did anyone watch LL reaction afterwards? Was it just me, or was his reaction kinda fake? It seemed real funny 2 me.

And is that SNL clip new or old? It looks like this happened around 2000 when the Dynasty album was out.

i don't have much to say about this...BUT i will support the artist i like....no matter what people say i think the concept of the album will be GREAT!!!!...so how do feel about the title of the LP???...peace & luv...ONe
